Review
Based on Tetris, but from another perspective, the GemQuake 1.1 puzzle computer game requires you to clear towering groups of gems that you have to fit together paying particular attention to the color of your gems. The Window's style graphic user interface is bright and colorful and presents you with a display board showing your next gems, your points, total gems, level of play, and the names of the players. Two players can challenge each other to a one-to-one game - with a difference. Play badly and gems from your opponents screen could come flying over to yours! The object of the game is to destroy the gems altogether by joining groups of the same color together. You need to collect a minimum amount of gems of the same color the row or group can be destroyed. As you play, the level of difficulty increases as well as the number of gems that appear. If you eliminate more than four gems at the same time, a group of gems will fall into your opponent’s board and visa versa. The interface displays both screens to view as you play with an opponent. |
